The project explores a contemporary interpretation of Mediterranean living within the hillside landscape of Sarandë. Designed as a semi-detached villa for two individuals, the house is organized into two distinct yet connected volumes, allowing independent living while maintaining a shared architectural identity. The volumes follow the natural topography, forming terraces, shaded outdoor spaces, and framed views towards the Ionian Sea. Natural stone, warm plaster, and timber define a calm material palette, while large openings dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior. The design emphasizes privacy, spatial clarity, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
The spatial organization is defined by a clear separation between the two units, each with its own entrance, circulation, and outdoor areas. Shared elements are carefully integrated through transitional spaces and aligned terraces, maintaining visual continuity without compromising privacy. The layout prioritizes orientation, natural light, and cross-ventilation, ensuring comfortable living conditions throughout the year while reinforcing the relationship between architecture and landscape.
