Located in Karlsruhe, Germany, this apartment was designed as a contemporary Airbnb space that balances comfort, identity, and clarity. The project focuses on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere through natural materials, soft textures, and carefully curated furniture. The layout is organized through subtle spatial transitions rather than rigid separations. A glass-block partition becomes the central architectural element, filtering light while maintaining visual continuity between the living and kitchen areas. Wood, neutral tones, and tactile surfaces define a calm and cohesive interior language.
Light is treated as a primary design tool, shaping the experience of the space throughout the day. Natural daylight enhances the softness of materials, while evening lighting introduces a more intimate and atmospheric condition. Designed for short-term living, the apartment prioritizes simplicity, durability, and comfort—creating a refined yet approachable environment that feels both functional and emotionally warm.
